The game will be played by 30 characters divided by discrete groups:

• 5 members of staff: a doctor, two nurses, a groundskeeper, and a clergyperson
• 17 resident patients: they have been living at Springwater for between 10 and over 50 years; many have spent most or all of their lives there
• 3 incoming patients: strangers who will have to adapt to life inside a colony (or new colony)
• 5 visitors: two government inspectors assessing the colony's merit and safety and three journalists keen to get the inside scoop on life inside a colony (and any dirt they can dig up)

Public profiles will be posted here when ready and casting preferences will be collected with signup.

Characters range in age from 18-58 and are prewritten as male, female, or open gender (meaning the player chooses the character's gender).  Players of any gender may play characters of any gender without restriction and player gender will be neither recorded nor used in casting.

Please note that all patients will be involved in "chores" like sweeping, dusting, or other cleaning around the facility as part of the gameplay, but this is more about playing with group dynamics and plots than actually cleaning anything, and the task at hand can be ignored -- there is no expectation of actually performing the task.
